A trip to the wild side

We took a family trip to the Wild Things Farm in Pocola today. It was a little warmer than we had expected, but we had a great time. We opted out of the hayride and corn maze. Maybe, when Asher gets a little older, we will try those things too. We did get pictures made in front of the corn fields and sunflowers. Asher caught hoppers and saw some bumble bees. We picked out a pumpkin for Leila and Asher. He is carrying Leila's pumpkin in the picture. We even fed some goats. However, his favorite animals were the baby "piggys" and the roosters (we won't tell him they were really peacocks!). I hope that we can make a trip in the spring for strawberry pickin with Leila.

Bye, Bye Elephants

Okay, these pics are totally out of order, but I don't have time to fix them. So, here they are. We took the kids to the fair with Daniel and Kayla. Here are the boys enjoying their favorite rides...their daddys. Look at Asher's face in this pic to see if he was enjoying the ride. We could hear him screaming from the ground.
Asher's was so excited to see the elephants. Also, this is his best attempt at jumping like the men on the trampoline.

Asher was telling the elephants "bye, bye". Everytime we ask if he had fun at the circus, he cheers and says "elephant, bye, bye". Don't ask me...I don't know why.
This is yesterday. The mission was to take a picture for the pharmacy alumni assoc. of both babies in their t-shirts. This is how it went.
This is also the fair. Asher liked looking at the animals but didn't want to get too close...especially to the camel!
Our first ride (I told you they were out of order) on the merry-go-round. He loved riding and petting the "horsies" and we washed his hands very well when we got home! Mommy realizes she is getting older because she felt a little sick after going around and around and around on this ride!
I didn't mean to duplicate this picture. Whoops!
Daddy and Asher riding the helicopters. Asher (and daddy too) enjoyed this ride. Mommy was just glad to be the bystander taking pictures.

I love these babies

Leila decided to be like Momma and Daddy and wear scrubs today
My son is so fashionable! He saw someone wearing house shoes in a picture and decided to borrow momma's shoes for a stroll around the house.
I am not sure what the fascination was with the oven mitts today but I couldn't keep him out of the drawer. He walked around saying "High Five" with these on all day.
Leila is growing so quickly and she is awake and alert more now. We are having lots of fun.

Asher asked to hold Leila last night. I was so excited and she just gazed into her big brother's eyes. I think we know who she will love the most...his name is Asher.

A Beautiful Weekend

We were able to enjoy the beautiful weekend. Friday night, Tyler and I had a dinner date. It was great to get out! Then, Saturday, we took the babies to the Crawford County fair. Asher loved looking at the animals and watching the horse show. We even sat in the grass and enjoyed a funnel cake.
Leila's ride at the fair was her new pouch sling that she loves!

We watched the game on Saturday night and Leila decided to wear her Razorback outfit. Asher was trying to pet her when we took the picture.

Newborn pictures

Well, we took Leila and Asher for a newborn session yesterday. Yikes! After telling the photographer how calm Leila always is... she proved us wrong. When Asher wasn't crying, Leila was! I don't think we took one successful shot of Leila and Asher together. Also, I spent more time nursing Leila, than we did taking pictures. Tyler says it is our last newborn session ever! So, here is a picture of the kiddos together and one of Leila tuckered out after the session.

Leila is 2 weeks old

Leila at 2 weeks old
These pictures will be special to me forever. I worry if I am getting to spend enough quality time with each of my babies. I want them both to feel special. Atleast I know that they think each other are special. Can't you feel the love?!

Casey's 27th birthday

I turned 27 on Sunday. These 2 little people are the best birthday presents that I could ever imagine. They made my birthday wonderful! Well, them and their daddy. It was so sweet to hear Asher say "Birthday Momma" and to watch him dance when I opened the card he gave me. The card played "Simply the Best". Leila was calm and happy...like always! I did get some great eye contact time with her today. Tyler grilled the best hamburgers and all of our family came over to celebrate. We had pecan pie instead of cake (for Leila's tummy) and it was wonderful!

This is my birthday present from Tyler. It is Leila's birthstone. Also, he bought me a new journal with a sweet entry from him. It is my favorite present from him. I have enjoyed writing in my last journal and we have fun reading about the past events! However, my favorite gifts were my cards. I love our family and they made me feel so special this year. Everyone was so thoughtful and I am glad they came to celebrate with me!
Asher wanted to help show everyone what momma received for her birthday.
My brother, Kyle, surprised me by coming into town for my birthday. It was the first time he has seen his neice and Asher was excited to see him. We really miss him.
