Flu….Boo!!!
Well, I woke up with the flu on Wednesday. I was pretty much a zombie for the next three days. I am soooo thankful that Tyler stayed home to keep the kids and take care of me. It is such a blessing to have a husband like him. He even took the kids to see Paddington on Friday night. What a daddy!
I had two others caring for me while I was sick…
Unfortunately, Nana and Asher are both sick now. We are praying for quick and complete healing for them and protection for everyone else! This is why I HATE winter time! Boo to the flu and all other sickness. Last weekend, the girls cheered Asher on in another basketball victory!
We had dinner with friends and went bowling!
Caroline decided that she had found a new best friend. ;) We had three nights of sleepless nights due to our unwelcome knockers. We caught them on Sunday night. They are all very remorseful and we are back to sleeping again! Monday, I picked the kids up from Nana's and took them to the park.
Monday night the boys scouts had skate night…
Caroline loved skating! She was a natural. Asher and Leila love it too. Cal…not so much! Asher's timothy team class leading a song…
Oh, Cal!
Which brings me back to today. Tyler took Asher to his ballgame yesterday. Then, they left for a boy's night around a campfire with friends. They had a blast! Meanwhile, I was still recovering from the flu. I was pretty exhausted after keeping the other three all day yesterday. My sweet Leila was an angel. She helped and entertained herself while I was busy with the twins. She was a blessing to me, and she is quite the fashion designer!
It's been an exhausting, stressful January, but I am thankful for my little family and the joys they bring. Praying that this week is the beginning of calm and health for our family!

2015…so far
Cal has been grilling up lots of yummy goodness..
A little cutie in his ninja turtle tshirt…
The frigid temps have had us getting creative to keep us busy….crafts, play doh, games, and monkey house play. Nana even joined us for a second trip to the monkey house. Lots of fun!
I've been enjoying some hot cocoa on these cold winter days..
Asher had a sleepover at his best friend's and the twins enjoyed some time by the fire at Pop and Gigi's…
Even the pets have enjoyed snuggling inside on cold days and nights.
Look at this cutie in his daddy's truck.
Tyler went to the coon supper in Gillette, AR this weekend. He had a blast. I was happy to have him back home in the early morning hours on Sunday. We had a scare at home. Someone decided to beat on our door and ring our doorbell at close to midnight and again at 3:00 a.m. Soooo not funny! Thanks to Roger for coming over to check things out for us. I was glad to have my big, protective dog by my side too. So proud of Marley's guard dog behavior that night. Love her!
My sweet dad came over today to install a peep hole and do a few things to make sure we stay safe in our home. So very grateful for him. I know he was happy to have a handsome little helper!
Last, a picture of my little cutie at her doctor's appt. She is so full of joy and life. She giggles and bounces through each day. Love this girl!
