Here comes Halloween....
We've made caramel apples
Our costumes are here
We've been crafting
And decorating
We've made some sweet treats for our friends
We continue to mark things off of our fall list
And these two little muffins have started calling them "pumpkins", instead of "ball"!
Carving Pumpkins
Cal loved the feel of the pumpkin, Caroline, not so much!
I think that we will have to carve 4 pumpkins next year. They wanted to be in the big middle of everything this year!
Saving some of the seeds for roasting!
Our crazy cat LOVES pumpkin! Asher and Leila think it is great fun to feed him. They were wondering if the reason he is orange is because of all the pumpkin he ate as a kitten?! ;)
Leila was happy to share with us that the inside of the pumpkin is like the sins in our lives. We have to clean it out to allow His light to be able to shine through us. What a perfect reminder of taking everyday opportunities to share about Him. We love you sweet Leila and your sweet heart for the Lord!
They were super excited with the finished carvings.
Drumroll.....
Halloween Bash
Abby loves the twins. She is always so loving with them and so helpful. I think the feelings are mutual, Cal and Caroline love her!
Asher wanted a football painted on his face. Leila chose the word "CAT".
Cal loved Sarah! I was very thankful for her help tonight too since Tyler couldn't be there!
There were lots of fun games for the kids! Lots of creative people in our small group and lots of great prizes to be won!
She was stealing her a bucket of prizes!
Almost drowning in the tub to get an apple!
She did it!
The original thief!!
He wanted a chance at the bobbing apples too.
The adorable spread of festive food! I think Maggie was doing her best to fatten us up! I'm just glad there weren't any witches waiting to gobble us up! ;)
The spooky spiderweb cake that we contributed for the party! It was a great party and a great kickoff for Halloween! I love our precious small group and all of these precious kiddos too! We are blessed!!!!

Camp Cub Scout
We went on our 1st family camping trip with Asher's cub scout troop. It was a freezing fun time! We enjoyed lots of yummy goodies like hot dogs, smores' campfire cones, peach cobbler, and hot chocolate!
Camping with friends made our first experience much more fun! Especially when those friends let you borrow 90% of the camping equipment you needed (Thanks, Vinson's) and cooked breakfast for you (Thanks, Shepherd's)!
Tucked in for the night....the long, long freezing cold night! It was 34 degrees! I had to take Asher for quite a walk to the bathroom at 3:30am. I didn't mind because we spent some time warming up under the hand dryer. I was almost back asleep (despite my chattering teeth!) when I heard the eerie howls of coyotes! Yikes!
This cold morning at breakfast...
Crafts.
Thanks, Gigi and Pop, for taking care of our two little bears while we were on our camp out!
