Cal and Caroline turn 4!
The night before Cal and Caroline turned 4, they got to open 1 present from us. Cal got a minion watch and Caroline opened a stuffed unicorn. Her unicorn has little pockets in the nostrils. Weird? Anyway, I pretended to eat unicorn boogers and told her that they tasted like bubblegum. She thought the was hilarious, of course! A few minutes later, she looked at me and made a bad face. She said, "Momma, my boogers do NOT taste like bubblegum!". Haha! Love these kids!
They wanted mexican food for lunch….they are my children! ;) Tyler was able to meet us for lunch. Then, we went to Nana's house to open presents and go to the monkey house.
Cal's birthday request was a trip to the car wash. So, we did that after the monkey house. Then, we came home so I could cook their birthday dinner. They requested ham, squash casserole, peas, and mashed potatoes. Unfortunately, the power went out for a couple of hours. They thought it was the best kind of birthday fun to light candles and have the power out. We went to plan B and had dinner out and picked up a cake from the grocery store. A nice man let me get in front of him in the checkout line and wished whoever was having a birthday a happy one. Little acts of kindness bring joy to everyone's day!
