It has been hot and muggy here! Today, we took advantage and went over to some friends house the play on their new water slide. The kids did not want to leave and neither did I. I had just as much fun visiting, watching, and soaking up the sun as the kids did playing. I love these kiddos and their Momma so much...thanks for having us today!

Some of our backyard goods
We didn't plant a full out garden this year but we did plant some things in pots, garden boxes (thanks Mike), and a few things surprised us with their growth. One of the things I love about this house is that we have some awesome things growing around.....apples, blackberries, and lavendar! I just discovered the blackberries and I was sooooooo excited! Our squash is growing rapidly and our peppers and tomatos have blooms! Yay!

Saturday fun!
We went to a friend's wedding on Saturday and the kids stayed with Nanny and Papa. It was so fun seeing our friends from college days. I realize we look all shiny faced in this picture but there aren't many pictures of just the two of us. A big thank you to Nanny and Papa for taking the kids to Chuck E Cheese and Big Jakes....two of their favorite places. They had a great time too!

Happy Days!
I think that I am living the happiest times of my life right now! As I enjoy another rainy Saturday afternoon with Asher and Leila, I feel immensely happy! We live in a home where our fridge is stocked with fresh fruit and apple juice for our little kids. They watch Tom and Jerry in the mornings, want me to watch them run like superheros through the house, and love to have dance parties and play games. Asher and Leila love and want to be with us almost as much as we love them and want to be with them. I realize that these times are fleeting. Someday, they will run out the door anxious to spend Saturday with their friends or dates (yikes!). For now, I am trying my best to soak up this feeling......a feeling of pure joy. I am living my dream life. I brought them doughnuts this morning from a bakery in our hometown and they were squealing with excitement. Then, they found the iced, sprinkle cookies and that deserved a hug! Asher is trying to figure out a way to see his Nanny today and it is so darn cute. We do have a birthday cake to deliver to his Papa! ;) Anyways, I love my life, I love my husband, and I love my Asher and Leila! On the drive to the bakery, I got teary eyed, I wish these days could last forever!

Mother's Day
Mother's Day was wonderful! Dinner with the family, presents from the kiddos and Daddy, and a card from Asher that he wrote by himself....it doesn't get much better than that! I have been blessed with a wonderful Mother too! Oh yeah, and a great Nana, Mother in Law, step Mother in Law, and family too! My mother's day prayer, that my babies would grow up knowing they are not of the world but children of God. Thank you Lord, for my wonderful life! By the way, the food on Tyler's teeth was intentional and just like something he would do in a pick. Yes, I'm married to a total dork!

My girl!
My heart felt warm last night as L chased me around begging me to paint her toenails. I have a little girly girl! :) Then, she got quiet, and I came out of the bathroom to find her in a pair of "pretty shoes". It was so cute and brought back memories of my childhood. I think I remember a wig though. :) Anyways, Daddy even got in on some fun....he was the nail dryer!

Strawberry Pickin' Pros
Wow, we picked tons of good lookin' strawberries! We have plans for strawberry cake, strawberry pie, and have already made a strawberry shortcake. A and L have enjoyed "strawberries with sugar on it". I even froze a couple of bags of strawberries for use for future smoothies and shakes. We are thankful that the rain cleared and the weather was Beautiful! What a great day we had together.
