Smurfed

We had a movie and dinner date with the big kids last night....we got smurfed! It was a cute movie and it was nice to have special time with A and L! Leila and Tyler always pretend to be the Azrael and Gargamel, Asher and I are the smurfs. ;)

Sweet Love

Cal and Caroline's 1 month Birthday!

4 weeks old

Oh how I love when these sweet babies are freshly clean and swaddled up for bed. They look and smell like a little piece of Heaven. We love you Cal and Caroline!

Gaining

I took the twins for a weight check on Friday. Cal weighs 7 lbs. 5 oz. He has gained 18 oz. in 9 days! Caroline weighs 7 lbs. 1 oz. She has gained 1 lb. in 9 days! The nurse couldn't believe it. I am anxious to hear what Dr. Fred thinks when he sees their weights on Monday. I am so happy that they are gaining weight and doing so well!

My goodness, it sure is hot here! Too hot to do just about anything. Our air conditioning is having a hard time keeping things cool but I'm thankful that it is atleast working. We are spending the majority of our time just hanging out indoors and trying to think of things to eat that I can avoid turning the oven on. One thing we have been enjoying is watermelon. I love to see my sweet big boy with it dripping down his chin. ;) Stay cool friends!

Tball Party time!!!

Asher had his tball party tonight and received his first trophy. To say he was excited is a huge understatement. I think that little thing made every hot, sweaty game worth it. He kept saying how glad he was that he played tball. They had fun at their coache's house slip n sliding and playing outside....even though it was 104 degrees! Asher's biggest cheerleader wanted to get herpicture made with her big brother too. We are all proud of our little slugger!

Caroline

Caroline, you are going to be one fun girl! You are so alert and love to interact with us....especially Daddy. You are such a sweet baby too. You have a mad cry and an upset cry. It's easy to tell the difference. You are having quite a few issues with reflux but you are a little trooper. You make such cute little faces and I love how much you look like your stinky Daddy. We love you in our life too!

Cal

Cal, you are the sweetest little guy. You are such a snuggly little man. Look at how you hang on to us. You love to have your hands wrapped around our hands or arms. You also love to sleep with your hands on your face (you did this in ultrasound pics too). We say you are like a little turtle because you always hunker down and you stretch your wrinkly little neck up. It's pretty cute. One funny thing (we will tease you about this later!) is that when you get scared or mad, you scream out like a girl! It's hilarious! Also, we love your wrinkly little forehead! We love you in our life!

This and That

Asher, I promise to do a special post for you tomorrow! I love you my handsome boy! Just a few things from this week. The twins are doing great. They are eating well and sleeping well. They still are such easy babies. We are in love! To everyone who has brought food and sent gifts and to our family for your help, we love you. We can't begin to tell you how loved you have made us feel....what a huge blessing. It is not lost on us, we are so grateful! Yesterday, Tyler's job had a surprise baby shower for him. One of his drug rep friends brought lunch and a gift certificate to a local restaurant for us. It was unexpected and so very thoughtful. Thank you! Also, I am excited to say that Tyler ordered us Dolly Parton concert tickets today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have wanted to see her for forever....can't wait!

Leila dance class day 3.....she loves it!

Leila Ballerina

Leila is taking a dance class this week and she is so happy that one of her besties is taking it with her. She is so excited to be learning to be a ballerina that she wants to wear her outfits to bed. ;) We have watched her do her new moves, over and over. It makes me happy! Last night, she told Tyler that she looked like a ballerina and he looked like a handsome prince. Yes, he's totally smitten with that little ballerina!

I think the kids think that they have 2 new dolls. They love to play dress up with them and they love to match. ;)

Feeding 2

It is not as scary as I thought it might be, but it takes some practice and lots of burp cloths to prop up bottles. We are still practicing.

1st tub time bath

They did like it better. Caroline like her bath better than Cal. What can we say....she's a typical girl! Add some bubbles and she would have really loved it!
