Wonderland!
Who needs Disney World when you get to go to Nana and Papa's house?! This is a long picture post because I just got these pics on cd from my grandparents. There are not enough words in the world to describe how thankful I am that y'all pour your time and love into my children's lives. You are blessing them more than you can imagine. You are blessing us too! Thanks for all that you do for us! We love you so much!

Blessed again!

I was so blessed today by a surprise. Asher's 1st school field trip was scheduled for today. Nana was taking him because I had to work. I have been sad because I was going to miss this first field trip. This morning, I packed his overalls, rain boots, and money for animal food. Then, I dropped him off at Nana's. When I arrived at work, I found out that my patient from 9-11 a.m. had cancelled. Asher's field trip was scheduled for 9:15-11:00. I asked my boss and he said I could go!!!! I do not believe this was luck. I believe that God blessed me with the opportunity to go because he knew how much I desired to be there. I was so thankful!! It honestly made my day! Asher was excited to see me and threw his little arms around me when I got there. It was so neat seeing his little class interact and meet everyone's moms. I wasn't prepared at all and didn't have my camera. I took a few photos with my phone. Nana took some pictures and I'll post those when I get them. Nana, thank you for taking him to his field trip for me and I am glad I was able to enjoy it with y'all.

My Asher
This is his framed art work. :) I found these neat art work frames at Wal-Mart. They open so you don't have to take the frame off the wall to change the art. I just wanted to make note of a few funny things that Asher said/did today. I don't want to forget these little details. First, he is totally girl crazy. He ran into a wall the other day because he was breaking his neck to see a pretty girl. Today, his teacher told them to wear old clothes tomorrow. This was the conversation at the dinner table.
Tyler: Asher, I bet you are going to look cute tomorrow.
Asher: No I won't, I have to wear old clothes!
Tyler: Asher, you will look cute in your overalls.
I guess he really is our child. He really thinks about what he wears and he loves to pick out his clothes. Thursday is school pictures. So, I asked if he knew anything he wanted to wear. His response....a blue shirt and a tie. The boy likes to look nice!
Thankful for this day
Cast all your anxieties on Him because he cares for you. I Peter 5:7
This is our Tiny Tims verse last week from the Children's program at our church. This is a verse that I applied to my life today. This morning, I woke up early and took Leila to my Nana's and Asher, a turtle, and 2 little hamsters to school. I went into A's school and took some pictures of art projects and of the kids gathering leaves for the turtle's tank. It was so good to see A interact with his classmates and they were so excited about their little turtle. Then, I drove over to the women's center and waited to have a mammogram. I was very nervous. My sweet, dashingly handsome husband surprised me by showing up to my appt. I was glad that he was there, even though I told everyone that I was fine to be by myself. They wouldn't let him go past the first waiting room with me. I had a mammogram, and they thought I should have a ultrasound as well. That was unexpected and it made me anxious. I had to wait about 5 minutes in the ultrasound room for the results. It was terrible.....really. I was surprised by how shaky, emotional, and fearful I was. I kept telling myself that this was NO big deal. Still, your mind wanders to the worst scenarios. I started to pray again. The nurse came back in and said that they didn't see any signs of the "C" word. Praise the Lord! Relief!!! So, when I got home, I was pretty tired and ready for a nap with my sweet babies. On the way in the house, Asher shut Leila's fingers in the door. Then, Leila wouldn't go to sleep for the first 30 minutes. The dogs kept barking outside. I let them in. My home phone rang. My cell phone rang. The dogs started barking to go back outside. I went to let them out and stepped in cat vomit. I cleaned up that vomit and stepped in it another place. So, I cleaned that up and Asher woke up. Needless to say, no nap! But, I don't care. I don't care if this is how it goes for the rest of the day! I love this day! God has blessed me and our family with health, and I am overwhelmingly thankful! When, Leila wakes up, we will go outside and decorate a little more for fall, cook dinner, frame some artwork that Asher brought home from school, pick out and iron Asher and Leila's clothes for the week, and spend a great family night at home. God is good....all the time!

Totally Random
Wow, what a busy week! Yesterday, I took the dogs out in the morning and saw this beautiful moon. The cool air felt great and I had to take a picture. It didn't turn out that great though. Last night, one of my best friends took me to dinner at my favorite place, Rolandos. Then, we went to see Easy A at the movies. It was such a fun night and a reminder that we should do things like this more often. Life's too short to wait on birthdays and special events to celebrate your friends. Anyway, I love that we are about to drag out our fall/winter clothes. I'm totally sick of my spring/summer selection! I wanted to post a few photos of my big boy's room. We found a cute little rug on clearance at Target and it makes his room feel more cozy. :) This was A's complaint about his room....it wasn't cozy enough for him. Ha! He is getting to use some of Tyler's stuff from his childhood room. The throw pillow on his bed, Tyler made in school. He is using Tyler's old basketball phone and basketball clock. He even has Ty's old letter blanket from high school. Of course, we have the Razorbacks and Cubs well represented! I just love his little room. Right now, closed in his room, is his school pet hamsters. It is his turn to keep them for the weekend. Yay?! Momma isn't excited but the kids love them! Oh, the things we do for our kids. This week was so hectic that I loved staying in bed this morning while the rain fell outside. Now, I'm catching up on laundry and we are going to go find some pumpkins and mums for the house. Hope y'all have a great Friday!

Razorback ready and baking fun
I decorated our front entry with a new Razorback wreath (thanks Nana!) and a sign I found on Etsy. Yesterday, we spent the day watching football, cleaning house, baking, and we went to see Alpha and Omega. It was a great day! I was able to use my new mixer for the apple spice cake! Yay! Then, I made homemade cinammon rolls...yummy! It was huge mess but so much fun.
