Glasses Round 2

So, we took Leila for a second opinion about her glasses. She won't keep them on and looks above them when they are on. We were worried the Rx may not be correct, so we went for another opinion. I loved the new doctor and she was very thorough and tested for lots more stuff. Leila was very cooperative. She also explained things to me and what they meant. She sent me home with lots of reading material and a desire to enforce the glasses wearing by Leila. So, apparently, Leila's left eye is by far the worst. Her right eye is barely Rx. She decreased her current Rx in her right eye b/c she felt that it may be the reason L won't wear her glasses. She said that they are worried the left eye is trying to become a lazy eye. She hopes that glasses will correct the problem. Please pray that it works! Also, I watched as L failed the depth perception test over and over. It was sad! The doctor is also concerned about this so please pray that it heals also. In conclusion, we left with an order for a new set of frames(without earloops....yay!) and lenses (less Rx). Hopefully, they will be less noticeable to L and she will keep them on. Please pray that when we go back in 3 months, L has greatly improved!

I am so happy that you have found each other and I pray we spend many more Thanksgivings together. Michael, Whitney, and Day...I am overflowing with excitement for your family! God, I do not deserve what you have blessed me with but I pray that my life exalts you and that you would continue to pour out your blessings on us! Thank you Lord.....for everything! China!

Tyler and I will celebrate our 9th wedding anniversary in 2 weeks. Today, we finally unboxed our china and crystal from our wedding and put it in the china cabinet. It was sooo exciting! We also added a pattern of china from Tyler's grandparents. It looks beautiful! We finally have a home with a dining room to display our wedding gifts.....Yay!

Children obey your parents

This picture keeps flipping when I upload to blogger and I'm not sure why but here is a recent pic of our puppies. Asher started Tiny Tims at church this year and they learn scripture verses every week. He can say verses A-J. It blesses me to hear his little voice say them so proudly. Tonight, the dogs wouldn't listen to him and Tyler and I heard him saying, "Children obey your parents in the Lord for this is right." Then, he hollered to us, "They aren't listening to me!" It was precious!

Thanksgiving craft

My grandma made this wreath for us when we moved back home. I guess Copper thought it needed another decoration....himself. Ha!
I accidentally uploaded this pic twice...sorry. We made turkey footprint doormats. It was fun. It was worth the trouble to hear A and L giggle so much!

Thirsty?

Pippa likes her tea sweet! Dad, sorry she drank your beverage and thanks for fixing our lights! Asher had lots of fun playing outside with you.

Our Leila

We took the kids to the movies yesterday to see Where the Wild Things Are. We won't discuss what we thought of the movie....Boo! I thought Leila looked sweet before we left. She is turning into such a good little girl. Don't get me wrong, she is still spunky and full of life and little sassy, but she is SO sweet! She wakes up every morning as a kitty cat or a dog. When she is a dog, she brings you things in her mouth and gives you licks instead of kisses. I love it! It's precious. She loves to give kisses and she wants to grab your face and plant one right on your mouth. She means business! And, she goes to sleep by herself in her bed!!!!! It makes her mommy so happy! We are still working on the glasses issue but I just had to brag on her a little bit. I love being her mommy!

Fall Pictures

My sweet cousin, Jennifer, took these pictures for us last weekend. I think we may have frightened her with how crazy kids can be when trying to photograph them! Ha! Thanks for your time and hard work.

Pregame pics and visiting the Chi Omega house

Leila becomes an official fan!

The day was gorgeous and the game was so much fun. The kids were fun to enjoy. The game started with a fly over and when they carried out the American and Arkansas flags, I got a little choked up. I felt so blessed to be an American sitting with my family enjoying a beautiful fall day as we watched our favorite football team. God has been so good to me. I don't deserve it, but God loves me and I am so thankful!

Calling the Hogs

Asher and Leila made it until the third quarter before they finally fell asleep....oh to be a toddler again! Go Hogs! Woo Pig Sooie!

Tiger Stripes

Asher gave himself tiger stripes at bedtime last night. He told me that it was okay because it would wear off in a couple of days, but he WOULD NOT let me wash them off. Boys!

They're growing!
