Wow!
The Zoo
Gigi and Pop wanted to take the kids to the zoo this past weekend....we even met Michael, Whit, and Day there. Needless, to say the kids had a big time! The animals were lively and pretty close to us. Leila is quacking like a duck in the picture that she has her hand over her nose. She was probably the most excited of all the kids. It was a very hot day and we were dripping with sweat when we left, but it was worth it to see the kids have lots of fun. Thanks Gigi and Pop!
Love
Caught!
Leila loves to eat! Tyler and I joke and say we hope her first date they go eat because he is sure to never ask her out again! She crosses her eyes when she gets really into eating and the food gets close to her face. Also, she eats everything in the most unconventional ways but she does enjoy herself! So, I guess at the next wellness visit we'll make sure there is no need for concern that she may turn out cross-eyed!

Happy 25th Birthday Momma/Nanny!
Happy Birthday to a woman who has contributed and sacrificed so much to make me the person I am today! Momma, I love you for being a terrific mom and also, for being my friend. I am so thankful that God loved me enough to give me you for a mom and you for a nanny for my kids. We truly appreciate everything you do for us and are so happy to be able to celebrate "you" on your very special day. Asher says you have permission to be 25 today, so, happy 25th........you are officially younger than your own daughter! We love you!

Ninja Turtle excitement
If you know my son, you know how much he loves to pretend and how much he loves superheros! Today, we met daddy at Sam's on his lunch break and mommy was craving a chocolate cake. To Asher's surprise, they had a ninja turtle cake and cupcakes. He asked for it and Daddy said yes (of course!). I couldn't have bought him anything else that he would've been more excited for. He thanked us (I'm not sure how many times) and checked to make sure it was still in the car between each errand we had to run. He told Snoopy that "we got a ninja turtle cake, Snoopy", and then snoopy asked if he could have his own piece, and Asher told him "of course"! I'm telling you the boy was excited! He skipped his nap so he could eat a piece as soon as we got home from running errands and is wearing the cupcake ring right now. It is such a joy giving your children little things that please them so.
To the movies!
Mom and Nana asked to take the kids to see Ice Age 3 a couple of months ago. It was the first movie the kids have ever been to. Asher requested his princess's presence at the event and so she came too. He was so excited and Leila must have been b/c she skipped her afternoon nap. She ended up falling asleep on the way to the movie theater and woke up about 15 minutes into the movies. It was such a good time! The kids LOVED it. Asher exclaimed, "Big screen, big coke, big popcorn!" The ate a variety of different candies too. Asher's little mouth ran the entire time...I'm sure the people around us appreciated that. Leila was pretty quiet until she saw Scrap. Then, she got excited! It was so great watching their little faces.....thanks mom and nana for the special treat!
Happy Independence Day!
The rain spoiled our 4th of July plans but we still had a great time! Dinner was wonderful, the company was good, and thanks to Haley and Blake the kids saw fireworks the night before. Tyler informed Asher on the reasons we celebrate the 4th of July. Asher liked the story so much that he asked to hear it over and over. I loved my day spent with my babies and my hubby.
