A...
This has been an Asher week. He had his basketball celebration, he made an appearance in the local paper, and he was chosen as student of the month for his class. The word of the month was "honesty". Great job, Asher! We are sooo proud of you! Love you!

What's up with the Woods
Valentine's Day came and went….the kiddos were "loved" by many! We were all a little heavier after the holiday.
Boy Scout Sunday…(Thanks to Pop and Gigi for taking pics, I was with a very sick Cal)
The big kids went fishing with Nana, Aunt Linda, and Justin (Thanks for the pics, Linda!)…
Leila danced/cheered at the Pointer game…
Cal was diagnosed with gingivostomatis (it was the virus from H---! High fever, lots of pain, and no eating for 6 days!) and had an allergic reaction to a medication. Bless his heart! This past weekend, we went to the boy scout blue and gold banquet. Asher received his wolf cub patch and several new belt loops. :) His raffle number was drawn and he won a camping chair too! His expression was priceless when they announced his number. Total shock and surprise!
Last night, Leila was attacked by the stomach bug. Looks like it's going to be another interesting week! Grr!

School Parties
Leila's valentine's party…there were some creative kiddo/mommy goodies for her class. This robot was too cute!
Asher's "valentine's day rocks" party….
I was the party host for Asher's class party so I took a few more pictures. ;) I could not have hosted this party without the help of some amazing parents and a special teacher. Also, thanks to Nana for coming over and keeping C & C so I could go to both parties…thanks for the Valentine's goodies too!

February so far...
All of this snow and the cold temps has me in the mood to cook. This month of love has me ready to try new recipes that take me back to my childhood. It was my goal this month to make biscuits like my granny's and iced sugar cookies like my Nana's. Goal accomplished! It was pretty sweet watching Leila's little hands roll the rolling pin across the floured dough. It was even sweeter watching all of their little fingers sprinkle the iced tops of the cookies. The sweetest part was hearing Cal say, "prinkle, prinkle, prinkle" as he worked. Being a mom is such a gift! I wore a crown while doing dishes the other day. Caroline called me "Princess Mommy" for the rest of the day. Melt. my. heart. February was also my Papa's birthday month. We have remembered lots of things about him lately. Asher's favorite memories are that Papa would let them ride in the back of his truck while he took them to play in the ditch and watching Let's make a dealtogether after bath time. Leila's favorite memories are Papa throwing her up and letting her touch the fan blade and him wrapping her up after bath time to keep her warm. It's the everyday things that we always miss the most! I tried a new football shaped peanut butter dip for the super bowl and a new chicken tortilla soup recipe too. Yummo!
Leila celebrated 100 days of school!
We went to the winter festival at school…
The twins love church and FINALLY make it through the service…sometimes while snoring. Hey, they make it! Caroline picked out her outfit (from head to toe) this past Sunday.
Asher and Leila made out their school Valentine's today…
Cub scouts visited the police station tonight…they were all in the slammer!
I can't believe that February is nearly half way over! We have been enjoying our days. Also, we thoroughly enjoyed the opening ceremonies of the winter olympics. Impressive!

Superbowl Sunday Snow
What an absolutely glorious day! Here is a smidgen of the pictures that I took today…my favorites…a glimpse into what a perfect day it was!
Tyler and I have colds and haven't felt well today but we decided to make the most of the snow and go outside to play. I am so glad that we did because we all had way too much fun! The neighbor boys and Pop came over and joined us. I have said this before but I will say it again…we have AMAZING neighbors! We love these sweet boys and our children are soooo happy when they come over to spend time with them. It was pretty exciting that Pop walked over too. We did a little bit of everything...snowball fights, built a snow man, sledding, and played with Marley too. I do want to admit that I think we have found our family dog. Marley is incredible! She is obedient and gentle. She had so much fun playing today and her behavior made her momma proud! I really love her and think she makes a great addition to our crazy family! Happy memories made on this snow day!
