Leila....

I love....

how very silly you are! You march to the beat of your own drum and I love you for it! I'm so proud to be your Momma! And, I borrowed this quote from a blog I read, but it totally spoke to me and I wanted to share...
"Enjoy the little things, for some day you may look back and realize that they were the big things."

Acts

Sunday was "Timothy Team Sunday at church". The kids stood in front of the church and said their 28 bible verses from memory and recited the Lord's Prayer. Pretty impressive for a three year old....don't you think?! They did a great job! They did have great teachers......Gigi and Nanna Dodd. I was very proud of my Asher. Thanks all who came to cheer him on! By the way, they studied the book of Acts this year.

Disney on Ice

Nanny and Nana treated us to a day in Little Rock to see Disney on Ice. It was fabulous! We will definitely see it the next time it is close to us. Then, we had lunch at Canon Grill. I think Tyler was jealous. ;) We did get a little bit of shopping in and went to the best TJ Maxx in Arkansas! The kids skipped their nap and were totally wired all day long....too much excitement I guess. We had quite a few laughs at how crazy they were acting, but I think we were all glad for quiet when they fell asleep about 30 minutes from home. :) I know the kids had a blast and I loved hanging out with my mom and Nana.....so, thank you both for a great time!

Weekend Happenings...

We had a very busy weekend. We had a garage sale on Saturday morning, a rainy day birthday party(which was a blast by the way!), date night Sat. night, and Haley's wedding shower today. It went by in a flash but it was lots of fun. The garage sale was great success! The birthday party was for our friends that we haven't seen in almost 2 years! It was so wonderful to catch up and see their handsome boys. The kids stomped around in the puddles and had water gun wars! Then, date night was awesome. We ate at a Japanese hibachi place and had dessert at a different place! :) I love the man I married! Today, Haley's shower was good and she was showered with gifts. I put two pictures of gift time 1.my favorite of the happy couple and 2. the excitement on Haley's face when she sees her stand mixer. I got to see my good friend and our kiddos got to play for a while too. What a good weekend!

Happy Birthday Day!

We went to a wonderful birthday party today in Russellville for Day! The kids had a blast and I think the birthday girl did too. Whitney and Michael, great job. Day, we love you so much! You are such a pretty, sweet girl and we love being part of your life. While the kids and I were away, Tyler, Grandpa, and Lala totally cleaned out and replanted some of our flower beds. It was a huge job and now it looks AMAZING! Thank you so much for all of your hard work and for donating so much of your time. It saved us so much! Tax season has not been our friend.....to say the least!

Warning....Long Post Ahead!

Happy Easter everyone! Here are some pictures of our family celebrations for this awesome Easter weekend. Just some side notes, I did get all of the Easter dye out from under my fingernails before church this morning. Amazing! I will never forget how excited Leila was for her Easter outfit this year....she loved the gloves and hat! When the kids were opening their Easter baskets, Leila would bark and pant like a dog about the things she was most excited to find! Ha! Asher said that he only wants to eat fried chicken from now on! LOL! Sad thing is, I would love to do that too....Yummy.

He is Risen

After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men. The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see hime. Now I have told you." Matthew 28: 1-7

Asher came running into the kitchen last night and said, "Momma, I need to tell you something, Easter is not just about the Easter bunny. It's about Jesus....he's alive....he already beat the devil! That's what Easter is about!" Amen, little buddy!

Everybody was Easter egg hunting....

The church easter egg hunt was this morning. It was cool, foggy, and so much fun! The kids were so excited to see what was inside their eggs. In the beginning, Leila would only pick up pink eggs, but she eventually figured it out. Notice Leila's new favorite face to make when getting a picture made.....that girl is a mess! Asher was super excited to find a big, striped egg filled with 4 smarties....his favorite! It was a fun time and we had a birthday party to attend after. The weather turned beautiful and sunny and the kids had a blast in the jump around. There was one boy (about Asher's age) that had it out for Leila. He would hunt her down to push her down. I guess she finally had her feel because when he was climbing into one of the bounce arounds, she put her dukes up and was ready to lay into him. It was pretty cute....I am glad she'll take up for herself. Anyways, we are getting ready to color eggs....more easter fun to come!
