Randoms
I hate winter. Have I mentioned that before? It's true, I hate the long gloomy winter days and being stuck inside! I enjoy random gloomy rainy days that are good for staying in sweatpants (my go to favorite piece of clothing right now) and watching sparkly vampire movies or reading a book. However, day after day of this gets old....fast! I've been trying to stay busy planning parties or daydreaming of our future house or cleaning out areas of our house. Today, I tackled the toy room and Asher's room. 4 toys bins cleaned out and put into 1 toy bin, 6 trash sacks, and 3 donation sacks later, I'm finished! I'm also very proud of the way these rooms look. I love getting things accomplished. Thanks to my Nana for occupying my babies while I worked! This year I'm thinking, less is more....atleast when it comes to stuff. On a different note, Leila had pajama day at school Friday. She has looked forward to this day for the past 2 weeks. Asher (after the most dramatic experience yet!) let me pull his other front tooth. I have been looking forward to this snaggle tooth look! Love these little lights in my life!

Marvelous Monday!
Today felt like my old Mondays and it was MARVELOUS!!! All of my babies home with me and we stayed in comfy clothes all day long! I did lots of cleaning up and cleaning out, cooked chili for dinner, and still plenty of time for playing and dancing with my munchkins. Asher and Leila did some organizing too...their tackle boxes. Thanks, Linda and Sam, for the new fishing stuff! Cal dejunks my kitchen cabinets every day! I know he wonders why I always fill them back up with the stuff he pulls out. ;) Caroline loved the dance time and playing with her baby dolls. I asked her today what she was going to name one of them. She responded "Bubba". That girl has hearts in her eyes for Asher. Cal is just as crazy for Leila. I think they are going to have some serious fun growing up together.
This weekend, I enjoyed the weather so much. I am so anxious for the spring. Winter hasn't been that bad so far. I'm getting excited to plant our winter garden next month. Also, I'm in charge of Asher's school Valentine's party and planning that is keeping me occupied. I've been trying a few new recipes to keep cooking exciting! ;)
I've already read a couple of books this new year...pretty good for a mommy of 4. I just finished Gone Girl. I have a love/hate relationship with that one. I couldn't put it down but I'm not sure how I feel about it since finishing it. Today I filled out our calendar for the spring....it's filling up fast! Lots to look forward to.

Saturday
Leila read her first book by herself!
Caroline has a serious love affair with baby dolls...especially Caroline! She says the name "Caroline" and "Cal" now. It's so adorable. It starts with a T sound, but the rest sounds right.
Asher had another ball game. So proud of his hard work and his team work. His fan section today had 13 people! Thanks for everyone that came to watch him play.
During the game, Leila and Abby had a little fun of their own. Uncle Kyle got to be a tree for these two little monkeys to hang on! ;)

All in a day's work...
I mopped the floors at noon. Two hours later, I found this cookie monster munching on a stolen cookie. ;) When I asked him if he made a mess, he responded "Whoa!".
Caroline loved being buried under the stuffed animals by her big brother. She fussed at me when I took her out. Tonight, the Cub Scouts hosted skate night. We took Asher and Leila and had such a fun time! Now, I have multiple mountains of laundry waiting on me to fold. Laundry is never ending!
I needed this pin this week! :)
x2
Here are their stats:
Cal: 30 lbs. 9 oz., 35" tall, 100th percentile across the board
Caroline: 24 lbs. 7 oz., 34" tall, 69th percentile weight, 100th percentile height

My Sunshines
Tyler went on an overnight trip to Gillett for the Coon Supper last night. All four of my sunshines ended up in my bed by this morning. The spot with the blue paisley pillow is mine....I was hanging on to the edge for dear life! ;)
Caroline has a new baby that meows....she loves it. If you try to take it, she says, "Mine", "Have it", or "Give it back". The girl has a thing for tigers. Her favorite two stuffed animals are tigers. I hope she doesn't grow up to be an LSU fan, that would break her daddy's heart! ;)
Do you see the goose egg on her forehead? She fell off the couch and the hardwood floor won. Poor little angel!
Cal loves Copper. He lights up whenever he sees him. Copper endures the intense love...he's a great cat!
This child gets into EVERYTHING! I never know what I'm going to find him doing. He's such a sweetie, it's hard to be too upset.
These two are growing up so fast. Although I am happy for each new day with them, it hurts my heart to realize how quickly they are turning into kids. Asher didn't want to smile for the camera. I did get a cute smirk. Today, Asher and I ran an errand together. He hopped in the car with me and told me that he loves to be with me. Melt my heart! I love spending time with each of them too. Sweet, sweet days!
This beautiful girl is growing up too. She is still a sugary, spice mix. She is the most loving, expressive girl, and I am so thankful to be her momma!

Basketball
I loved watching them play/coach basketball....they did great! Turns out Asher is a much more aggressive basketball player than baseball player. He loved it! His teammates did great too! The team shooting star was also a birthday boy today. What a great way to start your birthday! Good job, Upward Tar Heels!

Newspaper
Tyler made the paper. He was a part of Katie Danielson's music video. He's so handsome!
I loved this picture from the newspaper of our courthouse on Christmas day.

2013
A few pics from our New Years Day lunch....black-eyed peas, cabbage, hog jowl, and a yummy cake! Schedules kick back into gear this week. It sure was nice having our break from everything. We slept in too late, stayed in our pj's or sweats lots of days, did lots of cleaning out, and watched a few movies. It was a good time. The big kids had their last fun filled night on Saturday, Nanny and Papa took them cosmic bowling. I think they stayed out until 11pm! This is random but after spending almost an hour cleaning up yet another broken item in our house, Cal is definitely our most destructive child! GRRR! I think we may have to convert to using only plastic jars and decor!
