100 days of learning

Asher celebrated 100 days of Kindergarten today. This is the poster he made with 100 fuzz balls. His answer to what he would buy with $100.....snakes. Yikes! Guess we won't be giving him money of his own anytime soon!

I love this new Mardi Gras wreath that was made by my talented Nana and inspired by Pinterest!

Bye, Bye, ice trays!!!!! We got an icebox with an ice maker too!!! Those of you that have visited in the past 5 years will be excited to know that we shouldn't be running out of ice now!

Prima Ballerina

Leila LOVES dance! She liked her leg warmers that she wore today. Momma did too, I am a child of the 80s.

Good reminders

Some of our days are extremely overwhelming and busy and stressful right now. Today was one of those days. Tonight, giggling in the kitchen, were these 2 precious reminders of how sweet our life really is. Thank you Lord for blessing us with 4 amazing reminders of your love for us! These times will pass all too swiftly.....a sweet big brother giggling with his little crown wearing sister in the kitchen of our home. Oh time, please stand still for a little while! I love these children so much I feel like my heart could literally burst from my chest!

7 months

We made a trip to children's hospital on Thursday. They left the helmet option in our hands. I think we are leaning towards no. The twins had an appt. with their pediatrician on Friday....a 3.5 hour appt with all 4 kiddos! It was a circus to say the least. Here are their stats:
Cal: 20.6 lbs., 96% height, 88% weight
Caroline: 18.6 lbs, 99% Height, 76% weight

Twinkie trouble

"Hey sis, can I suck on your fingers for a while?"
"Yum, I really like them! Maybe I'll chew on them too!"
"Uh-oh! Looks like Momma caught us....try to look sweet & innocent!"

Grandma night

Nanny and Nana took Asher and Leila on a grandma night this week. They went to the movies, chuck e cheese, and chick fil a. Pretty hard to beat a grandma night! Tyler and I had dinner with the twins. The twins had a little fun visiting with Nanny and Nana too when we picked up brother and sister! I know I've said it before but Asher adores his brother and sister....such a sweet big brother!

Love note

Asher wrote his momma a love note at school this week!!!! That little boy sure can lift my spirits. It is EXACTLY what I needed this crazy week.

Because we aren't busy enough...

Copper likes to give us extra stuff to do....clean him up! ;)

My boys....

Cal is almost sitting up on his own....

Coon Supper 2012

January 2011, Tyler and some friends went with Mike to the annual Coon Supper in Gillett, Arkansas. They decided then and there that they wanted to be the entertainment for the next year's coon supper.

January 2012, The Coon Supper boys performed at the Coon Supper in Gillett, Arkansas. It was great! Sitting in the gym, watching them play, I'm still not sure what possessed them to want to play in front of that many people, but they seemed to have a wonderful time. I did try a teensy, tiny piece of coon. Let's just say that I didn't try a second piece but I guess I could eat it again if I didn't have a choice for anything else. ;)

2012

How did I spend my New Years, you ask?! I woke up this morning to a precious boy's voice saying, "January? January 1st....here I am!! Whoopty doo!". I love my Asher, he keeps me entertained. I can't think of a better way of saying "I'm ready for this new year!".

Mom had us over for dinner today for some black-eyed peas, cabbage, and fried hog jowl. It was scrumptious! Caroline was still feeling pretty bad. Poor little thing. Hopefully, we will have a fully healthy household again soon.

So, I said that I don't make new years resolutions. I guess my resolution is to enjoy each and every single day. After all, each new day is a new start. I hope to give my best effort each and every day and to love fully each and every day. Here are a few things that I hope to accomplish/learn in 2012....
-learn to knit
-learn to filet a fish
-learn to build a fire
-learn to make my Nana's cornbread dressing and my momma's gravy and giblet gravy
-spruce up our master bedroom and bathroom....organize and pretty them up some too
-redo our back flower beds this spring
-attempt to make homemade ice cream this summer
-take a family vacation to the beach
