An unexpected glorious day!

We woke up early this morning and felt exhausted (the warning of tornadoes/storms kept us on edge and on watch until late into the night) and not ready to face the day. The kind of tired that you know will put a damper on your whole day. Then, we went back to bed. All of us. Leila and Asher skipped school for the first time all year. They slept until they woke up at 10 am. It was FABULOUS! Then, we started our day with a GREAT beginning! We took Tyler's truck to get new tires to keep him safe. We dined at the Pizza Parlour buffet. We took advantage of the incredible weather and took the kids to learn a life skill. Asher is officially a bike rider!!! He worked very hard. He is proud, a changed boy. We did a little housework and enjoyed our family time. It was the refreshing that we all needed. We took some time to take in all the blessings that are present in our life each and every day. Comfy beds in a home that we love, children's laughter, the spring breeze, blooming flowers, comforts of living in your hometown and near your family, a loving husband, family pets, and signs of new life. It was an unexpected perfectly glorious day!

A Peter Rabbit garden party

So the garden part got rained out. Oh well, we need that rain to make our gardens grow! We did enjoy "showering" the expectant parents, even if we had to do it indoors. So glad that some of you decided to brave the weather and come on over. Thanks to mom, Emily, and Suzanne for their help in making this day happen. Can't wait to meet my sweet niece!

The weekend

This is the crazy spring weather that we had last week. Lots of hail.
We had a fun Friday night with some sweet friends. Asher and Leila stayed the night with Nana and played with Nibbles instead of joining us for dinner. We have made promises to them to repeat this fun outing again!
These clover crowns were such a fun memory from my childhood. The girls loved them. In fact, I've heard from a little birdie that Miss C wore her "crown" to bed.
I love this girl! I simply don't know what I would do without her in my life! So thankful that God crossed our paths!
Yes, this is Nibbles taking a ride in a school bus. Oh kids!
Today was Timothy Team Sunday at church. The kids were pretty cute! So happy that we are able to participate in such an incredible program. A HUGE thank you to their teachers, Gigi, Nanna Dodd, Mr. Mike, and Mrs. Emily! I know what a time commitment it is and I truly appreciate you investing in our babies' walk!

The boy's room...

After more than a year of planning, we have a newly decorated boy's room. Even better news….they LOVE it!

My newest obsession...

I loved the books and who wouldn't love the movie with Theo James in the lead male role! He was Mr. Pamuk in Downton Abbey and now we get to watch him in 4 more movies! Yay! Shailene Woodley is awesome in her role too.

Easter dinner and an egg hunt

A few more pics from others…
Dinner was absolutely wonderful. I thought today that I enjoy easter lunch, with the ham, baked beans, deviled eggs, potato salad, key lime pie, and fruit salad, almost as much as I do thanksgiving day dinner. Yum! After lunch, we enjoyed our annual egg hunt hosted by Nanna Dodd. It was fun to share this new tradition with the Dodd's, Brown's, Seawald's, and the Burkert's. Happy Easter everybody!
