10 months

This monthly picture business is getting tough!
Gone are the days of sweet, calm photos of the twins snuggled together. Replacing those pictures are pictures like these....Cal trying to grab the camera, Cal pulling up, Caroline attacking Cal to get his sticker from his shirt, and Cal eating his sticker from his shirt! ;) The twins are 10 months! Life is interesting and busy and full and wonderful! They are wearing sz. 3-4 diapers. Caroline wears 12 month clothing and Cal wears 18 month. Cal is pulling up, cruising around, crawling on all 4s, and eating like a champ. He loves for you to smell his feet and tell him they are stinky! It's so easy to make both of them smile! Caroline is beginning to pull up, crawling mostly on her tummy because she's faster that way, but she can crawl on 4s. She flaps her hands up and down when she is excited, which is tons throughout the day. She is saying "Bubba" "Momma" "Dada". Cal is saying "Bubba" "Momma" "Baba". They still sleep through the night and look so cute peaking from their crib each morning. They wake up about 7:30 am. Caroline is Little Miss Social and is such a talker during church. ;) We can't put them in the playpen together because they attack each other...usually Cal getting sis. They love to eat baby food and those fruit puff things. Their two favorite people continue to be Asher and Leila. Life is great! I just can't believe we are approaching 1 year with these munchkins hanging out with us! ;)

Tadpoles

If you look close enough, some of these little tadpoles have legs!

Timothy Team Sunday

We woke up early this morning for Timothy Team Sunday and the kids did not disappoint. We are so pleased with what they have learned. A huge thank you to Mr. Mike and Mrs. Emily and Mrs. Alta and Mrs. Becky! The kids were super excited to see their Papa, he's been out of town. Mom made us an amazing lunch after church and the kids enjoyed being with Nanny, Papa, and Nana. Mom kept them for a few hours after lunch so Tyler and I could do more yard work. Thanks so much! We wouldn't have 1/2 of what we've accomplished completed without your help the past couple of weeks. Also, we would be out quite a bit more money if it weren't for the generous contributions of plants from Grandpa and Lala! Thanks for helping us make our yard look great! I'm so excited to start having some backyard barbecues! Finally, here are a few more pictures.....probably getting tired of seeing our progress. ;) Still to come...hydrangea, power washing, bed behind blue chairs cleaned out and mulched, new lights, and painted garden boxes!! Pop just stopped by to drop off a bowl full of tadpoles....gotta go check those out! And, we have two cocoons that are now moths!!!

Mudbug time!!

The Sharbono's hosted a crawfish boil at their house yesterday, it was sooo much fun! I think we are all hoping it becomes an annual event. I'm not sure if the kids had a better time or the adults?! The mudbugs were shipped from Cajun country and the men and kids had a big time picking them up, we all had fun eating them! Who needs collagen when you have spicy crawfish to plump up those lips?! I really love nights like last night. It just seems like it sums up what life is about. Families of friends getting together to eat and visit, music playing in the background, kids laughter (sometimes cries) in the backyard as they play barefooted in the grass, and a breeze blowing through the air. I'm personally so thankful for each of the families that we shared last night with. Life is good! I have lots of good pictures....I'll figure out a way to get them to y'all! Thanks to Gigi and Pop for playing with the twins while we partied! :)

Cousins

That adorable little blondie in the middle is our cousin, Noah. We had a great time playing at his house tonight. God truly blessed us by giving us each other as family! We love these people!! The porch sitting was great and the smore making was even better! Josh even taught Tyler how to make a smore!! ;) Thanks for having us (it took way too long to make this work!!!), we love y'all!! A funny from this visit... I asked Leila to show Jennifer something that she has been learning in dance class. Leila went and stood in front of Jennifer, put her hands on her little hips, and said "No talking when the teacher's talking!". Thank goodness she's learning! ;)

Take me out to the ballgame!

Sweet Love

Tiny Tim graduation

Asher and a few of his buddies graduated from Tiny Tim's on Wednesday night. Next year, it's a more grown up version, Timothy Team.

More hard work!

We continued our yard work today, and it will continue into next weekend too. I'm proud of all we've accomplished. The lady that we bought our house from had lots of pretty landscaping but it just wasn't us....it was too much and overgrown. I love how we are getting to make it something that we are proud of! I love that we were able to incorporate some veggies into our backyard. We still have lots of big plans, they may just take a while to happen. We do have 4 kids that we have to keep up with while doing our yard work. Today, however, we didn't have any kiddos to chase around while we were working. It was just us, the sunlight, the breeze, and the plants. It was SO peaceful!! A huge thank you to Nanny and Nana for keeping our munchkins today while we worked. I missed them, but we needed those hours of uninterrupted work and thoughts! So blessed to have so much help! Tyler has put in too many hours of working this weekend between nuclear and our yard, thank you! I'm so happy to have this home with you!

Today

Keeping Momma busy...
Our backyard work today....
This plant stand was in my Nana and Papa's backyard for as long as I can remember. Now, it has a home in our yard!
Hello, vegetable garden! We are so excited for this!!! Here's hoping for lots of beautiful, healthy plants!
And a little sweetness from our day...
We had a busy, exhausting day. I just read another friends post about "Is your job worth it?", meaning my job as a parent, momma, gardener, housekeeper, etc. It blessed me today and was a thought that I needed to be reminded of. Is my job worth it? Absolutely! Is it still totally exhausting? Absolutely! Being a momma is the best and hardest thing that I'll ever do! Totally worth it though! Now, off to bed!!!!! Worn. Slick. Out.
