Tonight, all is well. The kids are snuggled into their beds (well, Asher is in ours) and everything is as usual. I am trying to soak in this last normal night in this house. Tomorrow, we will break down furniture and sleep on matresses on the floor.....it will be chaotic. Saturday, we will sleep in our new home. But tonight, I am enjoying my first home and the home I brought both of my wonderful babies home. I am soaking up the memories b/c I will remember them but not sit in the same room they occured. I'll think of Asher and Leila's faces as they took their first steps across the carpet, and the nursery I spent and spend many nights awake. I'll remember the way the living room looked with a playpen and a swing. The breakfast area with the little wooden highchair. The way I felt so blessed the first night we slept in this house. Yes, God has been so good to us while we have been in this home. Asher feels safe in the protection of it's brick walls (he's scared of the big bad wolf!)....our new house is brick too! Anyways, we are excited and sad to go. Asher had a minor meltdown tonight about not wanting to leave. He said that he didn't want the new house and he wanted to pick this one up and put it next to the new one. I told him that this house was glued down. His reply, "unstick it". Well, I wish that was possible! We have showed it twice this week and pray that it will become someone else's home soon. Tonight, however, it is ours!
