Signs of Fall
Leila's teacher sent this poem home on her weekly newsletter….
Signs of fall begin to show
when the cool winds blow and blow.
colored leaves float to the ground.
squirrels gather acorns by the pound
pumpkins and apples make good treats.
ghosts walk by, covered in sheets.
so many things happen in the fall,
but before you know it, winter will call.

Halloween parties and pumpkin carvings
Tyler was away last week. It was the first time that he has been gone and everything went pretty smooth at home. I was proud of my kiddos for behaving so well for me. Cal got his stitches out on Monday, not a single tear shed. Woo hoo! He's such a tough little man. Tuesday, Nana went to grandparent's day with A and L. We had catfish with Nanny on Tuesday night. A and L stayed the night with her afterwards and the twins hung out with me. The twins got to stay with Nanny on Wednesday night and the big kids had mommy night. They got their flu shots Thursday morning. They did great too! Tyler got home Thursday afternoon. We were pretty excited to see him! I worked at the school book fair and had 3 parent/teacher conferences to attend. Asher and Leila received great reports! They're making this mommy proud! Thanks to Nanny, Nana, and Gigi for their help while Daddy was away. I've said it before but y'all are the best!
This weekend was packed full of fun! A small group Halloween party, spending the night with Nana, a trip to the park, and carving/painting our pumpkins. It was an unusually warm weekend for October. So lovely for playing outside.
The stages of Cal's emotions. Happy Cal:

I'll just shut my eyes and ignore you Cal:
Happy again Cal:
I love when the kids get to play outside on their swing set. Such sweet memories being made. I also love glowing Jack-o-Lanterns! Happy Halloween week!
