Birthday Lunch

Sweet Lily and Sarah met us at McDonald's for lunch for Asher's birthday. What fun!!! Thanks so much for making our little A feel special on his birthday. Also, thanks to the Shepherd family for Asher's cool Snoopy shirt. We appreciate all of Asher's friends and their awesome parents for making his birthday soooo awesome! I am so gratful to all of you. We love you all.

Happy 4th Birthday to Asher Wesley Howton Wood!

Today is the day! Asher is 4! I am so proud to be your momma and I love you to pieces. Asher you are so good and kind. I am so thankful that God is blessing us with a 4th year with you. Here are some things that you love or are doing:
-You still love Snoopy and he goes everywhere with you
-You love orange juice and any soft drinks, watermelon, jelly sandwiches, lasagna, meatloaf, fried chicken, honey on biscuits, ketchup, any desserts
-You love Knights, Pirates, Ninja Turtles, Power Rangers, Spiderman....pretty much anything with a sword or that is a hero
-You still love to read and pretend
-You can write your own name and are getting interested in reading
-You like me to rub your back when you go to sleep and you want to rub your feet on daddy to go to sleep
-You love to play outside
-Your personality is to worry, plan, make people laugh, you are thoughtful and smart, you are obedient and easy, you are full of life and joyful, you are very social and polite
-You love Tiny Tims and can say all of your verses and are starting to understand so much
-Your best friend is still your little sister
-You hate for your hair to stick up....it's funny
-You are a night owl and love to sleep in morning....that works great for Momma:)
There are soooo many things about you that we love and I can't remember everything right now but we are so happy to have our baby boy. Happy 4th Birthday!

Sir Asher's 4th Birthday Celebration

The day after Asher's 3rd birthday he began planning his 4th birthday. He told me that he wanted to have a Knight birthday and a Ninja Turtle birthday. He spent the rest of the year planning little details for his party. It doesn't seem possible, but today we celebrated his 4th birthday with a Knight party. To me, it doesn't seem like it was 4 years ago that I was preparing for Asher's birth. He is such a joy and a blessing bringing fun and new excitement to everything. It was fun to see his planning come to life today. Asher, we hope that you loved every moment of your fourth birthday party. We appreciate all of our friends and family that came to celebrate with us. It was the most fun and relaxed birthday that I've planned yet. Asher, I love you so much and can't wait to experience your 4th year with you. Thanks be to God for our baby Asher!

How to Train a Dragon

We took Asher with my mom and dad to see How to Train a Dragon in 3D. It was awesome! I wish I had taken a picture of Asher wearing his 3D glasses.....too cute! Leila wouldn't wear the glasses but she sure enjoyed the large cokes. She drank most of everyone's coke, and then, she tinkled all in my lap. Her poor diaper couldn't hold anymore! Before the movie, we took the kids to the store to get some new shoes. Leila latched onto a pair of pink, sparkly shoes and Asher picked out his first pair or Mikies (aka Nikes). He was so excited to run fast and jump high. I'm not ready for these big boy shoes. :(

Blondie!

My dad gets more enjoyment from laughing about all of my blonde moments than just about anything else. Well, here is a blonde moment of Leila's for you Dad. Asher and Leila had totally destroyed the newly organized toy room and I told them to pick it up. Asher began putting lids on markers and putting toys back. I told Leila to pick up her doll house. She looked at me (totally innocently) and said, "but it's too heavy!" Ha! I love my little blondie!

Aquarium fun

Yesterday, Gigi, Pop, and I took the kids to the aquarium in Jenks. It was lots of fun! The kids get super excited....Asher pretty much runs through everything to get to the shark tank. Afterwards, we ate at Abuelos (yummy), shopped, and hit up Krispy Kremes before we headed home. It was a fun trip. Thanks for going with us Gigi and Pop.

Lights....the updating continues!

Tonight, Tyler has been busy installing new lights in our front hallway! I am so thrilled....what a difference. Leila exclaimed, "Oh, I love it!" She keeps talking about the sparkly lights.....what can I say....she's definitely my daughter!

Asher did the entire workout with us! He reminded me over and over that it wasn't hard, it was easy! Good job little A! I appreciated your encouraging and motivating words.

Little Shoppers

This brings back memories from my childhood. Mom and I would both push baskets at the grocery store.....it was my favorite place to shop because I felt so big and helpful. Does anyone remember when they had little baskets at the grocery store for kids?
