Celebrating Two

TWO!!!

Words can't express what a blessing these two children have been in my life! What a surprise to find out that we were expecting TWO babies, and what a joy it has been watching them grow and learn this year. They have turned from babies into toddlers. We have closed the chapter on the baby phase in our household. (Sniff!) I am SO excited to watch them discover all the wonders that await them in toddler life! Tonight, Caroline was chatting my ear off and making me watch her run back and forth across the kitchen. Cal was sitting quietly beside me on the couch. Then, he took his chubby little finger and pointed out a triangle, square, and circle and correctly named each one. I was amazed! They are so eager to explore and learn. They are so loving and really love each other. Cal and Caroline, we love you to the moon! Happy 2nd Birthday to my twin toddlers! Callum: -You love stars, trash cans, and clapping! -You love to clean up when anyone makes "a mess!" Favorite show: Mickey mouse clubhouse Favorite food: milk and desserts -You love to look at teeth and get your teeth brushed (This makes me so happy!) -You are definitely "all boy"....so rough and tough! -You are the most introverted child we have but you have such a sweet disposition. -You have the best laugh! Loud and cackling. 3T clothing, size 9 shoes Caroline: -You love tigers, shoes, talking, and your blanket -You think everything is "Aww, so cute!" Favorite show: Mickey mouse clubhouse. You have memorized most of the episodes! Favorite food: milk and any home cooked meal.....you eat like a teenage boy -You love to show off your jumping skills -You hate to have your teeth brushed -A girly girl through and through -You love to read books. We can tell that you are going to be smart and verbal! -Anything we ask Cal, you respond immediately with "I want (fill in the blank) too!" -You like to take care of things already. A natural momma. Such a loving sweetheart! 2T clothing, size 7 shoes You still sleep together. Caroline sleeps on her back or side. Cal is a tummy sleeper. You both love playing outside and bath time. Party pics

The party was great. Hot, but great. Thanks to all of our family and friends that came to celebrate Cal and Caroline. Cal wasn't much into posing for pictures during the festivities. He was a little shy during the cake time too. Caroline had practiced blowing out the candles and was ready for the task! They loved the jump around and water table and bubble time, but the highlight of the party was the piñata. Who would have guessed it?! They aren't at the age that present time is exciting yet, but they were gifted with many fun things......and many Minnie and Mickey things! After opening one present, Caroline pulled out the contents and said "ta-da!". I remember Asher and Leila's second birthday celebrations so clearly....can't believe our babies are celebrating 2!

Two By Two

They came to us as a pair, so we celebrated their 2nd birthday with a Noah's Ark themed party!

The birthday boy couldn't keep his hands off of the cake pops. He kept touching, licking, and throwing his head back to exclaim "Mmmm!".

Asher and Leila were a HUGE help this year with the decorating and cooking. They helped with baking the cake and cake pops, and they helped Nana assemble the rainbow fruit kabobs when we were in a time crunch! Thank you, my sweet kiddos, for ALL of your help!
