Birthday Dinner

This is my (non-professional) try at a swamp people cake for Asher. He wanted a ding dong cake and we just went with the muddy water approach! ;) He really liked it!

He was super excited for all of his gifts this year. He just said, "I can't believe my birthday was so great!".

My silly 6 year old!

My sweet, silly boy turned 6 today! He woke up this morning, told me he loved me, then said, "I'm 6! It's my birthday! It feels so good to be 6!"
He had a cookie party with his classmates.

Then, Nana took him for a special birthday lunch at a little place that is in a train car! So much fun and what a great place for a birthday lunch!

I do!

I LOVED our wedding! It was, by far, one of the best nights of my life! I can never thank our parents and grandparents enough for all they did to give us such a wonderful gift. In fact, I truly hope that Leila and Caroline want big, fun weddings.....we may skip vacations for years after paying for two weddings, but it will be worth it. Because I loved our wedding so much, I want to do a post of how we would do our wedding if we tied the knot at this point in our lives. Lots of these ideas we considered 11 years ago but for whatever reason we didn't do them....

This is the dress I would wear...I wanted this shape dress 11 years ago, but fell in love with my poofy gown!! ;)
This is the way I would wear my hair..
This is the color my bridesmaids would wear....I like this style too!
I would want a fall wedding, so this would be the flowers I would choose...
I love cowboy boots for the reception
Wow, how amazing would seating areas like this be!
This is the food we wanted at our wedding 11 years ago....seriously! I still wish we would have gone with it!
Blue grass entertainers....um, yes please!
The perfect setting for a reception! Love everything from the barn to the lace covered tables with variety of chairs!

I would have wanted Tyler and his groomsmen to wear light color suits with bow ties. I think it would have been fun to have our moms and grandparents make all of their best pies/desserts to go with the wedding cake. Wouldn't that have been fun?! You can never have too many desserts! ;) I think Tyler would have been happy with all of these details! I think it would have been so "us". But, I did love our December wedding too and all the lovely details of our own wedding. And, I definitely wouldn't change my groom!

All kinds of baby love....

I have never seen a baby girl love baby dolls like this child. It is a love that is complete with squealing, sparkling eyes, and tons of kisses and hugs for the baby doll. It really is so cute to see. Here are the phases of her baby loving...

Then, there is baby love that a sister has for her baby brother. When Cal was about to slime her snoopy doll with wet kisses, she said, "It's ok, I have 3 snoopy babies, and I really only need just 2." Pure sweetness! She made her momma proud and completely melted my heart. You are a GREAT big sister Leila!

St. Patty's Day

I love to celebrate St. Patrick's Day! The kids love the rainbow decorations and naughty little leprechauns play tricks on the kids. We eat some Irish themed foods and enjoy the "green" signs of spring!

Things are about to get busy around here....they are getting around!
Asher's snack for his class....Rainbow fruit tray...bananas went into the pot of gold container.
Leila made a rainbow cake while Asher was at a friends house playing
