Mountain View Weekend

We went on a mini vacation to Mt. View this weekend. We had a wonderful time.....some due to the lovely weather! We took Asher and Leila on their first fishing trip and we caught one! They were so excited, they jumped up and down! It was such a pleasure to watch them! Then, we went to Blanchard Caverns. Wow, it was beautiful! The rest of the weekend, we just ate and had lots of family time at the cabin. I thought Asher summed it up well when he said, "I wish that everyday was a family day!" I do too!

Leila is 2!

Leila turned 2 today....is that really possible already? We had a little get together tonight. We ate outside b/c this August weather is amazing! Didn't think I would ever say that! Daddy cooked her hamburgers and mommy made backyardigans cupcakes. By the look on her face, I think she liked them! She had fun playing with everyone and she LOVED opening all of her new presents. Thanks to everyone for making our baby girl feel so special on her birthday! How great it is to be so loved!

Ebay has opened up a whole new world of shopping. Asher LOVES to get on the computer with me to search ebay for ninja turtle stuff. The other day, we bid and won a lot of ninja turtle stuff from the 80's. We only paid $5! Asher could hardly wait for it to arrive in the mail. It was the best $5 purchase on toys we have made in a while. The other night, we had 2 little ninja turtles running around the house! I'm glad I have two little heroes to keep me safe.

The Celebration Continues

Papa and Nanny came over last night to let Papa celebrate Leila's birthday before Papa leaves town. The kids could barely concentrate on eating b/c they were sooooo excited for their presents. Yes, even Asher got a present....good job, Papa! Leila received a Happy Birthday Baby Cinderella. She loves baby dolls and this doll is no exception! She loves feeding her and changing her diaper. It was fun watching her baby her babydoll. Asher received a new knight and horse. He was so excited too! Thanks for everything Nanny and Papa. Dad, we'll miss you on the actual day.

Birthday Week Begins!

Monday night, we had dinner with Grandpa and Lala to celebrate Leila's birthday and Laurie's birthday. The kids L.O.V.E.D. playing with the dogs....I think we may need a puppy for our family. Well, not quite yet but in the future. Leila got a copy of her favorite book and matching pyjamas.....awesome! She also got the cutest ladybug outfit and mickey mouse dvd. Needless to say, Leila had a great start to her birthday celebration. Thanks Grandpa and Lala! By the way, check out that cake! Isn't it awesome!

Pinkalicious!

Last weekend, I took the kids to get some new shoes. Oh my, their feet grow fast! Anyways, we couldn't resist the little black converse for A and the pink converse for L. When we tried them on Leila, she exclaimed, "Pinkalicious!". It was pretty funny. I guess you don't have to ask what her favorite book is!

Praise the Lord.....It's Sold!

We closed on our old house today! It's SOLD! We took the kids to say their goodbye's to the old house yesterday. They had fun running around, but Asher said he was very happy to leave b/c he loves his new house. I do too! We took a giant leap of faith when we moved into the new house without having sold our old house. We were stressed out and Tyler didn't look forward to mowing two lawns. However, when we walked into this house, we just knew it was meant to be our home. I guess God felt the same way because he gave us a peace about moving. We knew it seemed crazy and stupid, but we also knew God would take care of us as he always has. The realtor told us that the houses in our old neighborhood were taking an average of 9 months to a year to sell, so we prayed for a quick sale. We had an offer on our house in less than one month! God is so good! So, we are sad to say goodbye to the house that so many memories were made, but we look forward to a new home with many new, happy memories. We trust God will protect and provide for us in our new home and pray blessing of happiness over the new family that purchased our first home! Now, I am excited to get busy focusing all of our energy on this home and enjoying the rest of the summer! Thank all of you that have supported and prayed for us during this exciting time in our lives!
