Loving Leila

This is a picture of most of the proud grandparents. Leila came so quickly that everyone wasn't there for her birth.

Our First Week Home as a Family of Four!

This week has been a big transition. I have to say that it has been easier the second time around. Leila is sleeping pretty well. Last night, she woke up only every 3-4 hours. It was wonderful! We are so thankful for the help of family and friends and the great meals that everyone has been bringing. Our new family is doing great and I feel so filled up. I am so thankful for our two babies. They are so much fun!

has been Asher's buddy. Yesterday, Asher called for his
Daddy when he woke up from his nap. Momma was kind
of heart broken and proud too. Asher and Leila have
an amazing father!

Welcome Baby Leila

Praise God! Miss Leila Noel arrived on 8-21-2007 at 11:13 am. She weighed 8 lb. 1 oz. and was 20" long. She seems so tiny and is the sweetest little thing. Asher is in love and kisses her all of the time. We are in love and so thankful for our healthy new baby girl.

Preparing for Leila

This is Leila's nursery. We have been spending lots of time in this room preparing for her arrival. Mom and Tyler painted the entire room antique white (all 3 coats) and painted an accent wall pink. I love the room and can't wait for Leila to be here to enjoy it.

This is Asher's room...his big boy room. Yes, he absolutely loves it! He puts himself to bed at night and takes all of his naps in here willingly. He shows everyone his new room and loves to play in it. Papa made the headboard and rocking chair for him. Daddy and I made the Asher letters. We enlisted the help of grandpa and grandma Wood to hang curtains.
Also, we have been busy spring cleaning the house. As you can imagine, it is not an easy task with a little one "helping". My grandma came over to help with that task so I would feel better. I'm kind of a clean freak! Tyler and Roger tackled the task of making room for two cars in our garage. Dad and Tyler have been getting our cars ready for the new arrival. Needless to say, Tyler says he is ready for this nesting business to be over. Oh well, all of our closets needed to be cleaned out and we had fun playing musical rooms. I have had a great time preparing meals for when she arrives. Asher has loved the company and attention. Thanks to everyone for your help.
