Asher had his first field trip this week. He said it was fun. He was a big boy and took his own camera to document the trip. Thank you for taking him, Nana! Leila was excited to get to go too!
The ramblings of a southern girl with a love for the Lord, an appreciation for simplicity, a passion for cooking and homemaking, and a desire to be the best momma to the four most precious babies ever!

3 months
I really can't believe they are 3 months old already! It seems like they have been with us such a short time, and sometimes it seems like they have been with us forever! I guess it is because I really can't imagine my life without Cal and Caroline. I can't imagine Asher and Leila's lives without Cal and Caroline either. I am so thankful that God gave us TWO more precious babies and siblings. I'm so thankful that I get the honor or raising two more children and the blessing of holding two more babies in my arms. They really do make you see the world through different eyes. I love being your mommy Cal and Caroline.....WE love you so much! Caroline....
Caroline is wearing 3-6 month size clothing, size 2 diapers, and has the most precious rolls on her thighs. She loves her paci, the swing, and being swaddled to sleep. She also LOVES being held...more than anything else. She does the funniest thing when we put her down. She moves her head right, left, right, left, right, left, really fast. Because she does this, she has a perfectly round bald spot right on the back of her head....silly girl! She is cooing at us and loves to watch Asher and Leila. She is looking more like her twin brother the older she gets. From some angles, when you can't see pink or blue, it's really hard to tell them apart. ;)
Cal.....
Cal is wearing 3-6 (and some 6-9) month size clothing and size 2 diapers. I love his precious chubby cheeks and his double chins! He is the most laid back, easy baby. He is also a momma's boy....he really is! ;) He doesn't really like the paci but does love to swing and be swaddled to sleep. He has been enjoying the floor mat with arch of toys thing. He coos at the toys and he will coo at us too. I think Cal is a little fearful of water....he makes a snubbing noise the entire time he is in the bathtub and you can't make quick movements without scaring him. He does LOVE to practice standing up. He has strong legs! He has the cutest, curliest eyelashes!
And finally, here are the frog pictures....

Over the weekend...
we watched some Hog football. What a disapointing game. We grilled hamburgers and had some friends over. All of the kids met some new friends. We were joking that BYOB means "bring your own boppy" at our house! Ha! It was such a good time! Yesterday, we enjoyed the beautiful day by playing outside. We had a fun game of freeze tag that got me thinking that I really need to exercise more! :) The big kids and I even baked apple spice cupcakes to celebrate this wonderful season! It was a great weekend!

Twin's week
They are still waking up every three hours but are getting more alert during the days. They have been freely giving their sweet smiles and both have started trying to talk back. I am totally in love!
Asher's Week
Asher had a good week. He is loving this weather and playing outside. He made 100% on his second spelling test and had projects about his family. I loved his "all about me" poster....so cute and it will be a great reminder of this age. His family tree was pretty cute too, hard to believe that it takes that many handprints to represent our family. ;) We are so blessed!!!! Wednesday night, he came home from tiny tims looking pretty stinkin' adorable! Speaking of tiny tims and faith, Asher's heart for the Lord amazes me. He talks about his prayers openly and he believes he will fight along side Jesus in the final battle. He has the faith/heart of a warrior for God....praise the Lord!

Leila's Week
This hasn't been a typical week for my Leila. It started out with missing dance class on Monday (she totally looks forward to it each week) because her crazy momma just forgot to take her. :( Then, she developed a fever, with no other symptoms (PTL!), on Wednesday which kept her from going to Tiny tims at church. However, today was a different story. Leila had an appt. at the dermatologist and it was all good news. Then, we went running errands together and ended up finding a super cute sparkly purple shirt to match some jeans that Nana gave her. While we were at the mall, she decided to get her ears pierced. She picked out her own earrings and there was no turning back once she had made up her mind. She did great! No tears! Her daddy is having a fit because his "baby girl" is growing up. I think he will have an even bigger fit when he sees how adorable she looks with her new pink, sparkly earrings! Good job, Leila!

They love hanging together...
These two do too! I have to say that A & L have had quite the life change these past 3 months and I couldn't be more proud of the way they have handled it. They are so sweet to be patient and entertain each other. We are so thankful that God sent them each other.... I hope they are always this close!
Caroline LOVES to watch the birdies on the swing. She gets so excited and tries to talk to them too. Cal does not get much time in this swing....Caroline has claimed it her own! ;)
This week, we have been working on getting pictures of all four of our babies up and out! We are running out of room! ;) Also, since it has been such lovely fall weather, we have started a little fall decorating. I've been cruising the web looking for fall holiday craft ideas too! I love this time of year!

2 month checkup
We took the twins for their 2 mth checkup today (in the pouring rain.....thankfully, Tyler went with me). They are doing great! Still waiting for Cal's eval. at the therapy center for the torticollis. Dr. says he can't believe both boys have torticollis. Guess that I'm not quite big enough to carry these big boys that I have! The twins got their shots today. :( They have slept ALL day! They are both 70-80% on height. Cal weighs 13 lbs. 7 oz. and Caroline weighs 12 lbs. 13 oz. They are definitely making up for their preemie status!

Football and family fun
Asher was entertaining the twins by teaching them how to play nintendo....they were interested. ;)
Football is an exciting season at our house! Lots of family time and yummy food! We are working on teaching the twins to call the Hogs.
Cal and Caroline have been very interested in their Daddy lately. :)
